Our Story

If you've ever stood in the personal care aisle staring at dozens of products, wondering which of them will actually work instead of leaving you worse off than when you started, you're not alone.

Hi, I'm Sonia. Founder of Sonia's Eden.

For more than a decade, I struggled with seborrheic dermatitis. My scalp was constantly itchy, flaky, inflamed, and uncomfortable. I tried everything—prescription treatments, over-the-counter products, recommendations from friends, and countless hours researching online. Every new product promised relief, but nothing delivered lasting results. In many cases, my symptoms only became worse.

But it wasn't just my scalp. Some of the products I used on my skin often triggered painful reactions, leaving me with dryness, redness, hives, and even scarring on my face and arms. Instead of helping me heal, the products I trusted seemed to be working against me. The frustration I felt led me to ask a simple question:

WHAT EXACTLY WAS IN THE PRODUCTS I WAS USING EVERY DAY?

This was when I started reading product labels and noticing certain items on the ingredients lists that I wasn't fully comfortable with. The more I learned about components in cosmetic ingredients, the more intentional I became about what I put on my body. I wanted products made with ingredients that nourished my skin and scalp—not formulas filled with harsh chemicals, allergens, potential endocrine disruptors, and unnecessary additives.

What began as a quest for relief sort of became a personal mission. And I began to ask myself, where better to look for true nourishment than the very creation God has blessed us with—nature? Being deeply rooted in God's word, one verse in particular continued to resonate with me. In Genesis 1:29, the LORD says, “Look, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the surface of the entire earth and every tree whose fruit contains seed. This will be food for you."

That verse sparked a deeper curiosity about the ways plants have been used to nourish and care for the body throughout generations. So, over the next few years, I immersed myself in studying natural ingredients, researching plant-based remedies, and experimenting with various oils, herbs, and butters. Batch by batch, I began making my own natural oils, butters and balms—formulations that nourished my skin and scalp at their source.

THEN LIFE GAVE ME ANOTHER REASON TO KEEP CREATING.

Organic Hair Growth Serum - Sonia's Eden

When I became pregnant with my first child, Eden, I was seven months along when I first learned about postpartum hair loss. I understood that hormonal changes could make shedding a natural part of the postpartum journey, and there was no way to completely prevent it. Still, I was determined to be proactive about caring for my hair and scalp. So I developed a hair growth oil and began applying it during the final three months of my pregnancy.

And my hair BLOOMED.

Around four months postpartum, just as I had anticipated, the shedding began—especially around the perimeter of my head. What encouraged me, however, was that I experienced very little shedding across the rest of my hair. I wasn’t about to stop there. I continued applying my oil consistently and caring for my hair with intention.Within a couple of months, I began noticing healthy new growth. By eight months postpartum, my edges had filled back in, my hair looked and felt noticeably fuller, and I was one step closer to feeling like myself again.

That experience reinforced something I had been discovering all along: when we intentionally nourish and care for our bodies—inside and out—the results can be transformative. And so, what began as a personal search for relief became something much greater: Sonia’s Eden—a personal care brand rooted in intention, transparency, and a deep appreciation for the nourishing gifts found in God’s creation.

Welcome to Sonia’s Eden.
